Classic Enerjet® E24C & F67C 29mm x 83mm Single-Use Mid-Power Rocket Motors New Product Information Release 4/4/2023
AeroTech is pleased to announce the Tripoli certification and immediate availability of the new E24C and F67C Classic Enerjet 29mm x 83mm single-use, composite propellant, mid-power rocket motors.
These new rocket motors are “More Blasts From The Past”, joining the F52C Classic Enerjets which mimic the look, sound and performance of the original Enerjet propellant. According to Gary Rosenfield, company founder and president, “Our Classic Enerjet rocket motors capture the spirit of the original Enerjet rocket motors, which inspired me to become a model rocket manufacturer”.
AeroTech’s ClassicTM propellant formulation delivers impressive lift-offs with a translucent exhaust plume studded with supersonic mach diamonds and no smoke, that appears to make your rocket leap-off the launch pad. Enerjets were the first composite propellant model rocket motors available to the public, developed by Mr. Irv Wait in the late 1960’s and later sold by Centuri Engineering from 1971 to 1974. Enerjet rocket motors revolutionized model rocket performance capabil- ities and paved the way for a great expansion in the hobby.
The new E24C has a total impulse of 36.3 N-sec (8.2 lb.-sec) with a 1.6 second burn time and a total weight of 2.5oz. (70.7 g). Available in 4 (#52404), 7 (#52407) and 10 (#52410) second time delays.
The new F67C has a total impulse 77.5 N sec (17.4 lb.-sec) with a 1.4 second burn time and a total weight of 3.0 oz. (85.7 g). Available in 6 (#66710), 9 (#66712) and 14 (#66714) second delay times.
Our 29mm x 83mm Classic Enerjet model rocket motors feature a molded thrust ring and the E24C and F52C have 30 grams of propellant or less making them USPS mailable. Retail packaged in attractive 2-motor clamshells with FirstFireTM Mini Initiators and nostalgic motor instruction and performance insert. SRP’s are $41.99 for the E24C 2-pack, $43.99 for the F52C 2-pack and $45.99 for the F67C 2-pack.
- AeroTech N4000W-PS RMS "Collegiate" Rocket Motor Reload Kit and RMS-98/20480 Motor Hardware Casing New Product Information Release 02/10/2023
AeroTech/Quest is pleased to announce our new N4000W-PS RMS Reloadable
Motor System rocket motor reload kit designed for use in AeroTech’s new RMS-98/20480 Rocket Motor Hardware Casing. This powerful new rocket motor has been developed specifically to meet the lifting and performance requirements of college and university rocket teams seeking to achieve altitudes of 30,000 ft. or more. Tripoli certification is in process and availability is anticipated well before IREC in June 2023 and we are accepting pre-orders now.
The N4000W-PS rocket motor reload kit delivers an impressive 18,540 N-Sec (4,168.2 lb.-Sec.) of total impulse, the highest of any 98mm RMS motor, with a 4.6 second burn time and an all-up weight in the RMS-98/20480 motor hardware of 35.8 lb. (16,252 g). Featuring AeroTech’s aerospace-grade White Lightning propellant formulation, the peak thrust is 5,320 N (1,196 lb.) with an average thrust of approximately 4,000 N (899 lb.) and a propellant weight of 9,800 g (21.6 lbs.). Our White Lightning propellant produces a brilliant white exhaust plume with lots of bright white smoke and a throaty roar at lift-off. Although the N4000W-PS produces delay smoke, it is a “plugged” motor that does not include an ejection charge and requires the utilization of an electronically-activated recovery system. Along with the new RMS-98/20480 RMS motor casing, the N4000W-PS is designed to provide collegiate rocket teams with a powerful and available option for the 30,000-foot altitude event at IREC. The N4000W-PS also requires use of a 98mm stainless steel forward seal disk (98FSDSS) and standard 98mm RMS forward and aft closures. The RMS-98/20480 motor case is sized for 8 traditional length propellant grains, however, the N4000W-PS reload kit features 7 longer propellant grains for its tailored ballistic properties.

- AeroTech O5500X-PS DMS 98mm High-Power Single-Use Rocket Motor New Product Information Release 1/12/2023
AeroTech is pleased to announce the Tripoli certification of the O5500X-PS, a new 98mm DMS Disposable Motor SystemTM single-use rocket motor that produces the highest certified total impulse of any 98mm rocket motor ever sold to the sport rocketry market.
The new O5500X-PS DMS rocket motor replaces the O5280X-PS DMS rocket motor that has been placed on hold for more than a year due to casing integrity concerns. The O5500X-PS utilizes a new, thicker walled fiberglass casing and features updated assembly instructions, plus a new instructional video.
The O5500X-PS (P/N 15550P) motor uses AeroTech’s high-Isp Propellant XTM to produce an exception- ally high total impulse, accompanied by a bright white flame with a moderate amount of smoke. The motor delivers 21,384 N-sec (4,808 lb. sec) of total impulse in 4.03 seconds making it ideal for extreme high-altitude attempts (including two-stage flights to the edge of outer space!) and sport flights in heavy weight rockets. The O5500X-PS is a “plugged” motor that produces tracking smoke only, and cannot be configured with an integral ejection charge. Rockets using 75 and 98mm DMS motors must utilize an electronically-activated recovery system.

Diameter: 3.875” (98mm)
Length: 55.44” (1,408mm)
Propellant: Propellant X
Total impulse: 21,384 N-sec (4,808 lb.-sec)
Burn time: 4.03 sec
Peak thrust: 1,698 lbs. (7,552 N) Delay time: N/A (plugged)
Propellant wt.: 9,779 grams (21.56 lb.)
The O5500X-PS may be purchased by L3 certified consumers 18 years of age or older. Availability is anticipated for Spring 2023 and we are accepting pre-orders now. The O5500X-PS ships with a First- FireTM initiator and carries a suggested retail price of $2,999.99.
The O5500X-PS DMS motor features a filament-wound fiberglass casing, a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle and a machined aluminum bulkhead with a built-in 3/8-16 thread for a matching eye bolt. The O5500X-PS motor is configured with a removable, threaded fiberglass thrust ring. Thrust rings on DMS motors are designed to fit standard motor retainers. All DMS motors ship with a FirstFire or FirstFire Jr.TM initiator. The O5500X-PS is sold in kit form for shipping purposes and requires a specific build process that must be followed precisely for proper and safe operation. All necessary adhesives and instructions are included.
The DMS motor design is protected under U.S. patent no. 9,416,753 B2 and other patents pending. TRA certification documents, DMS motor instructions and a data sheet containing information for the entire DMS line are available for download in PDF format from the Resource Library on the AeroTech website at http://www.aerotech-rocketry.com
